U.S. Tax Policy Update

 Fdf

Join Scott Warren, CPA for an update on tax reforms.

On December 22, President Trump signed the tax reform bill, “An Act to Provide for Reconciliation Pursuant to Titles II and V of the Concurrent Resolution on the Budget for Fiscal Year 2018," into law, marking the largest change to U.S. tax policy since the 1980s. With most of the provisions already in effect, it’s important that real estate and construction executives are aware of the changes to better understand the impact to their companies. During the chat, Scott will discuss the key provisions affecting the real estate and construction industries.

Scott Warren joined the Firm in 2002 and is a Member of the Firm’s Tax Division. He has more than 18 years of experience in the field of public accounting and is responsible for supervising and managing corporate, individual and partnership taxation, as well as business and individual tax consulting for his clients. Scott received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of West Florida, and is on the board of many community organizations including the Pensacola Museum of Art; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida; Arts, Culture, and Entertainment, Inc.; and NAIOP.

The What’s Up! Chat Series is an educational program which connects our membership with local experts and community leaders in an informal setting. This format creates a unique opportunity for speaker and audience to understand an issue’s impact on commercial real estate and the community as a whole.
